It’s four in the morning and I woke up with my phone ringing loud. It’s Father Abraham (Papa) calling in, saying he dreamt of Mama “ga-luto ug Chicharon” . Then he said, “Anniversary namo ron, Chang. Civil wedding 1984 sa Cebu gani.” I was like “Aw, oooooh..” (empty-headed, finding the right words to say and lost in thought.)
Wow! That makes 28 years of would-have-been-marriage and approximately 35++ years of love. Theirs is a licensed love story to tell.
What MUST I say? Silence.
At the middle of the call, I managed to say “Uy Pa, mingaw ka’s Chicharon? Haha”, trying to initiate a laugh. But he said, “Mingaw lang sa imu Mama, Chang.”
Silence again.
“Uhmmm, Happy Anniversary Pops! Love you!” I didn’t listen to what he said after that. I dropped the call, not because I didn’t want to talk to him, but because I didn’t really know what else to say. (Sorry Papa! GUILTY MODE. Tsk. Tsk.)
Well, giving thanks for their TOGETHERNESS this day of the year is celebrating my existence, my brothers’ and sisters’ existence and every other life thereafter. So, Happy lover’s day Mama and Papa! Mwah ❤
The melody of this song may seem sad, but for me it’s not really a sad song, and suddenly it means just extra meaningful with their complicated little story to tell.
It’s freakin’ corny and melodramatic, I know. But I don’t care, just this once! Haha.
‘Til next century’s post. Fly love ❤

That explains the facial expression :D

TIME Magazine Cover.
VAUGHAN HANNIGAN, an international artists management agency, based in New York, sent us this story about the shot for the Time Magazine cover by photographer Martin Schoeller for a story on attachment parenting. Using religious images of the Madonna and Child as reference, Martin Schoeller photographed four mothers while breast-feeding her child or children. “When you think of breast-feeding, you think of mothers holding their children, which was impossible with some of these older kids,” Schoeller says. “I liked the idea of having the kids standing up to underline the point that this was an uncommon situation.”

I wish FB people will realize that it is enough to send a game invitation once. So they don’t end up make hassles to any other fellow.
This image looks mad, but I’m not. Just concerned.
* happy day! *
